Garlic & Herb Roasted Turkey

Christmas turkey rubbed with littleseed garlic and herb rapeseed oil

Our garlic and herb oil is a fuss free way to add some flavour when cooking your Christmas Turkey.

Ingredients

Method

  1. Heat your oven to 180C / Gas mark 4.

  2. Prep your turkey beforehand, by removing any giblets and gizzards, etc from inside.

  3. Pour 100ml of littleseed Garlic & Herb Rapeseed Oil into a bowl.

  4. Loosen the turkey skin by using your fingers to lift the skin on the breast away from the flesh and being careful not to make any tears, deposit the oil in between the turkey skin and meat with a turkey baster. Then rub around with your hands to make sure the oil goes all over the breast meat.

  5. Next, with a brush, use a little of the oil to brush across the turkey skin including the legs. Grind salt and pepper over the skin of the turkey.

  6. Then, chop up the lemon into slices and pop them inside the turkey.

  7. Place the turkey in a baking tray, and pop into the oven, regularly basting with any juices from the tray to keep the turkey moist.

  8. The cooking time will depend on what size and weight your turkey is, so make sure you check this first. Also make sure your turkey is cooked through by making sure the juices run clear from the meat.
